Make Experience Matter (MEM) is a fortnight packed with activities designed to educate and connect students to the concept of gaining employability skills and knowledge through internships, volunteering, work experience, international and exchange opportunities.

You have the option of attending Session 1, Session 2, or both sessions.

Opportunities showcase

The Opportunities Showcase will take place over 3 days during MEM and will bring together employers, volunteer organisations, internal University departments, students and alumni to present current internship, volunteer, work experience or exchange opportunities to students.

It will be in a gallery-style format, where exhibitors will be assigned a pin board and can fill an A0-sized space (841mm wide x 1189mm tall) with a single poster, multiple posters or other collateral of their choice. We request that only distinct opportunities for students are showcased.

The pin boards will be on display for three days and each exhibitor must attend the event from 10am-2pm on one of those days (Wednesday or Thursday for employers) to answer students’ questions. Each exhibitor will also be given a 10 minute slot to present their opportunity to students on their chosen day of attendance.

Printing will need to be arranged by exhibitors as The University of Melbourne is unable to provide printing services. Posters to be sent prior to the event for display. Company banners cannot be displayed at this event.
